The Bangkok cat is a new breed of cat. It was bred by American breeders in 1958 from a cross between a Burmese cat and an American black short-haired cat. The shape of this cat resembles an Indian leopard, so people also named it after the Indian city of Mumbai. The head of the Bombay cat is relatively far away, the face is round, the body is moderately long, but the muscles are well developed.
